VENUES

Every year at MOGA is a little different, however, we have a general event format that attendees expect. This event format means we have certain venue requirements as listed below.

Welcome Area

REQUIRED

Typically the same location as MOGA Central is used.

Before Main event Day, participants are able to gather and socialize, visit vendors, and pick up packets of information or ordered swag.

MOGA Central

REQUIRED

Typically a Large Ball Room size. Stage, video projection, and audio for announcements needed.

On Main Event Day, MOGA Central is used for:

  • Packet Pickups.
  • General Information.
  • Vendors, Sponsor, Info Booths.
  • Vote on Costume Contest.
  • Turn in Poker Run.
  • Turn in Event Mystery findings.
  • Participate in Give-Away.
  • Ceremony at the end of the Main Event Day.

VIP Lounge

REQUIRED

Typically a side room or area sectioned off with divider walls at MOGA Central & Welcome Area.

At MOGA Central (and the Welcome Event if using a different venue), there should be an area that is only accessible by attendees that selected the VIP Registration. These VIP Registered attendees should have bottomless snacks and drinks available along with volunteers to assist VIP guests with quickly picking up their preordered packages, loading competition points to their GPS/Phone, etc.

Classic Individual Competition Area

REQUIRED

A large outdoor area, typically forest, like found at a State Park. It can be the same venue but must be a different area than the Team Competitions. Should be within 30min drive (MAX) from MOGA Central.

Classic Team Competition Area

REQUIRED

A large outdoor area, typically forest, like found at a State Park. It can be the same venue but must be a different area than the Individual Competitions. Should be within 30min drive (MAX) from MOGA Central.

Puzzle Competition Area

REQUIRED

An indoor facility near the Classic Competition Area OR a large side room near MOGA Central works best.

Poker Run Participants

REQUIRED

MOGA hosts a “poker run” where participants will visit (typically) local establishments to gather a plastic card as part of a scavenger hunt. We need at least 5 locations to participate. If there are no available establishments, we can hide these around the town or in the woods.

CITO (Cache In Trash Out) Event

OPTIONAL

We always look to give back to the community, the morning after the Main Event Day, we will look to organize a large cleanup event. Will need to have a dumpster and/or recycling options available.

Parting Breakfast / Brunch

OPTIONAL

Typically a social club, dining hall, cafeteria, or other like venue.

Typically, not always, we try to provide a FREE Breakfast/Brunch to our attendees after the CITO Event. Historically volunteers cook pancakes, however, we are always open to more exciting options!
